Karen has cultivated a long-standing Asana yoga practice, supported by a 200-hour yoga teacher training certification completed in 2016. Her relationship with yoga extends far beyond the physical, encompassing chanting, meditation, mantra, and subtle body awareness—each practice deepening her connection to the energetic nature of existence.
Over the course of a decade, Karen made regular trips to Bali, immersing herself in the island’s Hindu-animist traditions. Her time there fostered a profound respect for local spiritual wisdom and a lasting bond with its people and landscapes.
In 2025, Karen deepened her study through focused engagement with the Mahāvidyās—the ten Tantric Wisdom Goddesses—under the guidance of a Melbourne-based teacher. This exploration marked a further unfolding of her spiritual path and interest in non-dual Tantric philosophy, feminine archetypes, and transformation.
Karen also integrates principles from Ayurveda, the ancient Vedic science of life, drawing on its holistic frameworks to complement Western perspectives on health, aging, and wellbeing.
Her interest in the psychotherapeutic dimensions of healing spans many years. She has explored somatic-based modalities including kinesiology and EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), and two decades ago completed The Mythic Path program with the Kairos Centre—a formative experience that bridged mythology, psyche, and personal transformation.
Across these diverse modalities, Karen’s path has been one of energetic and metaphysical exploration, grounded in curiosity, reverence, and a commitment to inner growth. Her spiritual work—like her professional work—is driven by a belief in transformation, connection, and the unseen threads that shape our individual and collective lives.
